Where golf in Gulf Shores began.
The course was built in the 1960s as the first golf course in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The beautiful Gulf Coast setting, a challenging course and an elegant clubhouse create an atmosphere that both the novice and the enthusiast admire.
In November 2005 the course closed for a complete renovation under the guidance of Jay and Carter Morrish. The result is a spectacular layout that no golf enthusiast will want to miss.

The course
Reimagined by Jay and Carter Morrish
The 2005 renovation lengthened the par-71 course by 300 yards and added numerous water features, enhanced fairways and additional bunkers that put real teeth into the original routing.
Tees run from 4,700 yards to a championship 6,900, with a rating and slope of 72.9 / 123 from the back markers. The club has hosted top amateur, open and collegiate events, and it stays fun for the whole family.

We know you have come to Gulf Shores for vacation or a visit. A little preparation makes the day better for everyone on the course.

Dress for golf
Collared shirts with appropriate shorts or pants for men. Please, no cut-offs or swimsuits.

Share the course
The grounds are home to our signature fox squirrels, raccoons, alligators and snakes. They will not bother you if you do not bother them. Live and let live.

Mind the pace
Hazards come into play on several holes, so take care while you search and keep an eye on pace of play. We want everyone to enjoy the day.

After the round, enjoy food and drinks on the deck overlooking the course, or head inside to the restaurant to catch a game on television.
